Private deployment

Humanizer: a private AI writing assistant that makes drafts sound like you

Upload a PDF, Word file or text. Humanizer highlights the passages that read like machine writing and explains why. It then helps you rewrite them in a natural voice, and you review every change. Your document comes back with the same fonts, tables and page layout, and it never leaves your computer.

How it works

  1. Upload

Use a PDF, DOCX, TXT or Markdown file, or paste text directly.

  2. See what reads as AI

A score for each passage, with the reasons: repetitive rhythm, stock phrases and over-formal wording.

  3. Rewrite and review

Choose how far to go, then accept, edit or reject every suggested change.

  4. Export

Get your original file with only the wording changed, plus a report of every edit.

Features

Explains its scores

Several local detectors and 25 writing-pattern checks, combined into one score with reasons you can read.

Layout preserved

Fonts, spacing, columns, tables, footnotes, headers and page breaks stay exactly as they were.

Tracked changes report

A PDF showing page and line numbers, removed text in red, added text in green, and the scores before and after.

Fully offline

Every model is stored on your machine. Nothing is uploaded, and no account is needed.

Who it's for

Marketing teams polishing AI-assisted drafts, agencies keeping a client's brand voice, and writers who use AI for a first draft and want the final piece to sound like a person wrote it.

Use Humanizer to improve your own writing. Follow your school's, publisher's or employer's rules on disclosing AI assistance.

Why it's different

  • Your file's design survives the edit
  • You approve every change
  • Clear reasons, not a mystery number
  • No uploads to online "AI checkers"

What makes text read like AI

Readers notice machine writing even when they can't say why. Humanizer points to the patterns behind that feeling:

  • Even rhythm. Every sentence is about the same length.
  • Stock phrases. Lines like "in today's fast-paced world" or "it's important to note".
  • Over-formal words. "Utilize" where "use" would do.
  • Empty summaries. Paragraphs that repeat what was just said.
  • Lists of three. The same "X, Y and Z" pattern again and again.

Why it explains, not just scores

Single-number AI detectors are unreliable. OpenAI withdrew its own AI text classifier in 2023 because of its low accuracy (OpenAI). Humanizer shows the reason for each flag, so you judge the writing, not a number.

A private AI writing assistant, not an online checker

Online "humanizer" sites ask you to paste your text into their servers. Humanizer works differently.

Humanizer questions

Which file types does it support?

PDF, Word (DOCX), plain text and Markdown. You can also paste text directly.

Will my document's formatting change?

No. You can export the original file with only the wording changed, or re-typeset it in a style you choose.

What computer does it need?

A Windows PC with about 16 GB of free disk space. An NVIDIA GPU with 8 GB or more makes rewriting faster.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Every model is stored on your machine, so it works fully offline.

Can I choose how much it rewrites?

Yes. Pick a light touch or a deeper rewrite, then review every change before export.
