Case studies in insurtech, trading and compliance
Unbullishable has shipped four projects in regulated industries: an IRDAI-compliant health insurance app, a native TradingView charting module for a SEBI-registered broker, an AI sentiment module for a broking app and an automated reKYC compliance portal. Each one had to follow strict rules and hold up under real daily use.
Client names are kept private under our contracts. We can share references during a call.
IRDAI-compliant health insurance mobile application
Client: digital-first health insurance provider (India). Scope: frontend mobile app development for STP and NSTP journeys.
We built the app screens where people choose, compare and buy health insurance. The goals were simple. Never lose a user's progress. Keep personal data safe. Match the client's design exactly.
- End-to-end journey: member selection (adults, children, pre-existing conditions), sum-assured customization and cross-provider plan comparison.
- Proposer & KYC: secure proposer and nominee forms with E-KYC covering Aadhaar/PAN upload and digital verification.
- Payments & policies: payment gateway integration with idempotent operations to prevent duplicate charges, then a dashboard for active, expired and rejected policies.
- No lost progress: the app saves as you go. Close it, come back, and carry on.
- Security: UI-level masking of PAN/Aadhaar and compatibility with AES-256 backend encryption.
Native TradingView charting & analytics module
Client: SEBI-registered discount broking platform. Scope: plug-and-play mobile module for iOS and Android.
We built a module that puts TradingView charts and the broker's own analytics inside its mobile trading app. It plugs in without changing the rest of the app.
- Native architecture: built to the client's exact toolchain: SwiftUI (Swift 5/6, Xcode 16.2) on iOS and Jetpack Compose (targetSdk 34, Dagger Hilt) on Android.
- Live market data: secure WebSocket connections with token-based authentication streaming live data into the chart UI.
- Kept separate: market data and user details enter at clear points, so the module stays apart from the main app.
AI sentiment analysis & fundamentals research module
Client: retail broking mobile application. Scope: API integration and UI development.
We added an AI research section to a broking app's stock page. Investors see the company's financials, key indicators and an AI score of market mood, all in one place.
- Fundamentals mapping: technical indicators, consolidated and standalone P&L and balance sheets rendered from APIs.
- Multi-year ratios: multi-year arrays (FY 2024, FY 2025 and later) mapped to CMIE financial-ratio data.
- Sentiment tracking: real-time sentiment scores shown with linked news feeds.
- Watchlist sync: sentiment and fundamentals synced with watchlists and holdings for comparison.
Automated client portal & compliance ticketing (reKYC)
Client: broking platform client-services team. Scope: full-stack development, frontend and backend.
We built a ticket system for account requests and compliance checks. Most tickets move from step to step on their own, with little manual work.
- Automated reKYC: CVL KRA webhooks drive ticket status automatically: submitted, validated, auto-approved or auto-declined.
- DDPI activation: demat authorization flow built end to end, with Razorpay for upfront ticket payments.
- Account operations: trading account reactivation, demat opening and segment activation (NSE Commodities, Mutual Funds) with secure PDF upload and e-sign (Digio, Hyperverge).
What these projects have in common
Built for the rules
Each product had to meet IRDAI or SEBI rules.
Safe by default
Masked ID numbers, secure logins and e-sign were built in from day one.
Native apps
We wrote iOS and Android code with the exact tool versions each client used.
Less manual work
Steps that staff did by hand now run on their own.
Questions about our client work
Why are client names hidden?
Our contracts keep client names and product details private. We can share references during a consultation.
Which regulations have you built for?
Insurance products under IRDAI, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India, and broking products under SEBI, the Securities and Exchange Board of India.
Which tools did these projects use?
SwiftUI on iOS, Jetpack Compose on Android, secure WebSockets for live market data, CVL KRA webhooks for reKYC, Razorpay for payments, and Digio and Hyperverge for e-sign.
Can you build only one part of a system?
Yes. Several of these projects were a single module, such as a charting module or a frontend app, fitted into the client's existing product.
Have a system this serious?
Book a consultation and we'll scope the architecture, compliance surface and delivery plan.
